Following on from Interactive App development for SkyD, 2015 saw Script This create various test applications to support the development of new Set Top Box API’s. These included HTTP, Key Reservation, Cookie Tracking, Software Update and Audience Measuring System known as AMS. Each application had the ability to demonstrate and extensively test the functionality of each new API enhancement in a variety of approaches from automated stress testing to specific user controlled API response testing.

In addition, we assisted with the development of a Python command line tool for advanced key entry scripting. This in turn was used for testing changes to key management for screens flows, catching tricky edge cases and replicating illusive defects. Further tools were create in Python for defect/bug tracking in the form of a Web App to provide a more project focussed front end for the Global Cisco Defect Software System. This was built using Django to give Managers, Developers & Testers easier access and filtering of all data surrounding bugs to be fixed.
